Hyungji PARK's paintings, which begin with a sense of daily trivia, are completed with unpredictable and uneven surfaces through the process of failing and destroying. Her exploration to create an intrinsic logic of a painting within the canvas frame, through oscillating between images and material properties, continues and expands by crossing the boundaries of abstraction and figuration.
일상의 사소한 감각으로부터 시작되는 박형지의 회화는 반복적인 실패와 망치기의 과정을 통해 예측불가능하고 울퉁불퉁한 표면으로 완성된다. 이미지와 재료의 물성 사이를 오가며 캔버스 안에서 그 회화만이 가지는 고유한 논리를 구축하고자 하는 그의 탐색은 추상과 구상의 경계를 넘나들며 끊임없이 지속, 확장된다.
